Set-Up Technician – Greater Toronto Area, ON (881319)

Our client, a 2nd generation family-owned business that develops and produces sweet treats and baked goods, is seeking a Set-Up Operator for their world-class manufacturing facility located in the Greater Toronto Area. The plant is 140,000 sq feet and has highly automated continuous process lines that can handle up to 6000 lbs of pastry! The successful candidate will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of the production machine(s) assigned on a given shift, according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies. Shifts are 7am – 3pm, 3pm – 11pm, and 11pm – 7am. Flexibility to work various shifts is required. Requirements: High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent. Reasonable Mechanical and electrical aptitude. Good time management skills and work independently. Ability to communicate (speak, read, write) in English. Ability to read simple configuration layout drawings and assembly/disassembly instructions. Ability to work with chemicals and be able to read and understand WHMIS & MSDS information. At least 2 years of relevant food industry work experience as a Sanitation team member or a Machine operator. Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
