Automation & Robotics Maintenance Technician – GTA, ON (881317)

Our client, a 2nd generation family-owned business that develops and produces sweet treats and baked goods, is seeking an Automation and Robotics Maintenance Technician for their world-class manufacturing facility located in the Greater Toronto Area. The plant is 140,000 sq feet and has highly automated continuous process lines that can handle up to 6000 lbs of pastry! The successful candidate will be responsible for general maintenance of all facility and production equipment, including but not limited to troubleshooting, parameters setup, integration, communication, improvement and any other requested Work Orders. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate. Benefits: Great benefits package including RRSP. Shifts: 2-week rotating shift schedule. Shifts are 7am – 3pm, 3pm – 11pm, and 11pm – 7am. Flexibility to work various shifts is required. Requirements: Strong troubleshooting and programming skills, knowledge of Industrial Lines Programs, Electrical Controls, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Process Automation, Robots and related equipment concepts. Electrical license/ E.S.A. compliance. PLC/HMI/VFD and computerized systems programming, troubleshooting, maintenance and integration. Experience with ABB, Schubert or similar Robots is considered an asset. Ability to maintain professional working relationships with coworkers. Available for working shifts, extra time and emergency calls. Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
